Whose riding the public transportation these days? Or whose sitting at coffee shops looking for you?
The RT transit system is quickly becoming the new social outlet and stage theatrical shows daily for free.
Buses and Lite Rails rides can offer a time to relax and even sleep if you're not attacked by socially hungry people. 'The Reporter's' travels reveal some eye opening news as she spent an entire day from morning to 7:00 pm taking a trip to Elk Grove. As she made her way to the 1st Bus stop, beating the rush, who were still in bed or at work. It seemed like a typical day and she had no reason to suspect anything was going to happen as she boarded the bus. Then suddenly out of the blue, and to her surprise, female rider acted as though she needed a Mother and the reporter was it. The conversation immediately took on a very interesting form and the rider was rushed to set up an appointment asap! with the reporter before arriving at her lite rail stop. She continued to talk, glued to the reporter and she missed her stop, so the Reporter had alittle more time to move her brain out of puzzled brain mode to unpuzzled mode and just take it as it comes and not question very much. The woman believed she had found the person she was in search of for the day, with our news reporter. This was a connection she seemed to feel compelled to wrestle to the floor. Immediately, she set up an appointment time to meet with our field Reporter for next week. Emotionally, the female saw a possible adoption at work between her and the reporter. This then generated a very important question, "why did you choose me" the reporter asked? "I'm a good judge of character" she said. "It's important that we meet" she said. The baffled reporter had never experienced such an encounter before, quite like this one. She decided to move on in her mind and not get stuck it was episode # 2 coming down the tracks as others were coming out of the wood work to load the lite rails. Her destination was EG to get a big story unfolding and she wanted some real answers. Her goal was quickly being crowded out by riders who needed her immediate attention.
This lead to a time management crash and collision problem. It was only minutes before the Reporter was re-routed, now lost in action by riders needs invading the reporters space, and the reporting goals of the day were history, in the face of needy riders who were challenged with the task of trying to figure out what bus or lite rail to ride and to work at figuring out where they were going and why.
In the process, the reporter's goals were changing time by minute from what she had in mind earlier in morning. On the creative thinking front, the reporter was toying with the ideas about how to bring theatre productions to EG. Since time management flew out the window, and her schedule was the riders schedule in stead of hers so she took a when in doubt punt attitude and it was working. 1. One driver was an information center about routes. 2. Another driver asked the same questions over and over, the reporter was ready to pail out when she was tired of repeating where she wanted to go, in terms of destination. Driver 1 and 2 needed to talk and pool their strengths and weaknesses so the riders are free from trafficifing between info express and the uninformed. This would free up the riders to find friends to talk to instead of carrying on conversations no real destination in mind. The world of chatter over load is very real problem amoung riders who board buses just to start talking into the air. The RT systems has replaced the social places one once went to keep socially healthy. The folks who can afford a cup of coffee are socially finding an out let at the coffee shops. The folks who can afford a bus pass instead of a cup of coffee are socially finding their out lets on the RT system. Both groups are looking for a daily doze of socializing but of course. There is a significant population who go to coffee shops and use RT as social site seers. This is a new phemonenun in our society. The Riders are looking for answers to their life questions so there is a great need for "people with fairly reasonable advice" to start riding buses and lite rails finding these folks who are looking for you. Or for those of you who can afford a cup of coffee, these losts souls can be found at the coffee shops, but this group is much more difficult to approach or get started trying to get advice. Apparently, there is a drought of even fairly reasonable advice out there. Perhaps, if more Americans would take this call to heart they could get started in advice giving today and other Americans needs would be met.
The most important piece of advice we need to give is: Jesus wants you to call upon Him! He died for our sins and He was raised from the dead. His witnessers are giving out invitations to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. You need a wedding garment and Jesus is the King and He has a Kingdom. Jesus, the King is Returning Soon! Read Matthew 24

30 and then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF THE SKY with power and great glory.
31"And He will send forth His angels with A GREAT TRUMPET AND THEY WILL GATHER TOGETHER His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.
Maybe, you are the kind of people whose advice is very poor, well, you have to start somewhere, so start boarding the buses and with time and experience you might be going places in life and have a following of people that you met on the buses. Some of these folks are so lonesome, one of them followed the reporter home and soon became her dinner guest. They move fast because they are determined to make a friend for the day.
JESUS IS OUR BEST FRIEND.
The Reporter felt like "Queen for the Day" when a van was sent divinely to transport her directly to the lite rail station after a full day. Another man wanted to ride in the van sent by Jesus but to no avail.
"Dispatch told me to pick up ____________,the reporter" the driver said. The driver thought that he was picking up some celebrity or important person. The Reporter knew Jesus had performed a miracle to bring both parties together.
The driver wondered why Dispatch sent him to the reporter at a very reduced fair. He wanted to know the details of what had happened and who had I talked to get a chaffered van ride to lite rail instead of the college bus stop?
The Reporter said, "it wasn't politics." "This doesn't happen very often does it?" "It isn't common for the bus company to send a van out like this, is it? the reporter asked the driver. "Have it ever happened before that you know of, or have you been an assignment like this before? asked the reporter. The driver said, "No, I haven't."
"I think it was Jesus" the reporter said meaning who arranged this ride.
The driver understood what the reporter meant and agreed Jesus had helped him many times in the same way like this over the years.
